WelLBeING
Being surrounded by beautiful countryside makes us very aware of our responsibility to look after our environment – both our immediate locale and the planet as a whole.
Characterful green spaces and pocket parks provide attractive places to dwell, play and explore, while increasing biodiversity and improving air quality. Green corridors give safe connections across Longbridge for our pedestrians and cyclists. And the Longbridge in Bloom initiative encourages our community to participate in creating a natural environment that grows as part of the development.
Austin Park is a blissful green oasis at our core; a place to escape the hustle and bustle and relax amongst the wildflowers and local wildlife as the River Rea trickles gently past.
Just a few hundred yards away, Route 5 of the National Cycle Network provides a traffic-free pathway for cyclists and walkers to explore the River Rea and its environment.
Longbridge is also just two miles from the Lickey Hills Country Park, one of Birmingham’s most varied and treasured parks. Its 524 acres of diverse green space provide ample opportunity for family days out, wildlife spotting, sport or simply somewhere to take in the views over a cup of tea.
A place to unwind
Our town centre is the beating heart of Longbridge. Boasting beloved national retailers nestled alongside independent stores, eateries and leisure facilities, and all the amenities a thoroughly modern, forward-thinking urban townscape provides.
A place for enterprise
Innovation is in our DNA at Longbridge. It’s a spirit that is inspiring entrepreneurs and driving businesses forward. Motivated by the site’s remarkable history, the companies based here are cementing their place in a new era.
